Spain Wins the World Cup

Late in extra time, Spain found a way to score, with little time for the Netherlands to respond. Spain wins the World Cup Final 1-0. This game had the most yellow cards in World Cup Final history, and it hurt the Netherlands as it left them a man down for most of the second half of extra time. For Spain it was Andrés Iniesta who scored the game-winner. This means there are 4 players with 5 goals in the tournament since Villa and Sneijder were scoreless. The Golden Boot is probably going to be given to Thomas Mueller of Germany because he has more assists.

  1. Congrats to Spain…truly deserved…both teams played their hearts out…but in the end Spain pushed just a little harder. Now onto Brazil 2014 and hopefully the US in 2018 or 2022
