This isn’t much of a surprise. But if anyone was wondering if the HTC EVO 4G will be getting an update to Android 2.2 (Froyo), the answer is yes.
Sprint had this to say regarding the update for the EVO.
With the Android 2.2 upgrade, customers can expect improvements to include the following benefits: updates to user interface, improved EAS Support, improved browser performance, including Flash 10x Support, voice dialing over Bluetooth and application storage on external memory.
No official date for the release of the update has been set.
In Android related news, both the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment will NOT be getting the update to 2.2.
